Kovalam Beach

It is the most popular beach of India which consists of three small bow shaped beaches. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees and truly the coconut trees along the beaches gives it a ravishing look. The boundless blue waters of the Arabian Sea and miles of white sands washed away by the surf at the feet of the sturdy palms and the rocky promontories, makes this beach paradise. This marvelous beach is a tourist's dream come true. It is situated in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. Kovalam can be reached by direct and regular bus services from Thiruvananthapuram. Buses also link the place from Ernakulum, Kanyakumari and Periyar wildlife sanctuary.

Alappuzha Beach

This beach is 150 kilometer from Trivandrum. It is also known as Alleppey Beach which is located in district of Alappuzha. Alappuzha has grown in importance as a Backwater Tourist Centre, attracting several thousands of foreign tourists each year. This is also famous for its Boat races, Houseboat Holidays, Beaches, Marine Products and Coir Industry. Alappuzha Kerala also offers Ayurvedic steam bath, herbal and oil treatment provided by quite a few centers, something one should not miss.

How to Reach: The Nearest airport is Kochi International Airport, about 85 km from Alappuzha town. Nearest railway station is Alappuzha, about 5 km from the beach.

Varkala Beach

This is the dazzling beach and best picnic spot which is 41 Kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram City, Kerala. Varkala is a beautiful beach that has a more than 2000 years old shrine of Lord Vishnu. This beach of Kerala is rich in mineral water springs that are known for their medicinal value. This is also called the’ Papanashini’, since a dip in the holy waters of the beach is believed to cleanse one’s body and soul of all the sophisticated sins.

How to Reach: The railway station is 3 kilometer from the beach. This is 54 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram and 37 km from Kollam.

Kappad Beach

It is the historical beach of Kerala. The rock studded beach is locally known as Kappakadavu. It is the important trade center of Malabar region. A solitary pillar commemorates the event with the inscription, "Vasco da Gama landed here, Kappakadavu, in the year 1498". The sea here is placid and apparently untouched by history or time. It is located 16 kilometers from the main town of Kozhikode; the Capped Beach is one of the most Charming Beaches of Kerala, also popular for its historic significance.



Bekal Beach

Bekal is the fast developing and international tourist destination. It is declared by government of India. It is 64 km south of Mangalore and 79 km from Kannur. It has long palm-fringed beaches and a rocky headland topped by the huge Bekal fort. Tourists stretch themselves under the sun and get a cool tan on their skin. Dotted with countless swaying palms, the beach stretches near the Bekal Fort that boasts of being one of the best-maintained historic forts in Kerala. Mostly the tourists flock to the Bekal beach in the months of August to March.



Beypore Beach

It is located at the mouth of the Chaliyar River in Kozhikode district. This is the perfect and miniature place if you want to enjoy the romantic sunset amidst the silhouette image of the sands and rocks. You can sunbath on the sandy beaches, and fishing. You can taste the local flavor of fresh seafood of Kerala from the seaside stalls and drink a lot of cool and refreshing coconut waters.

How to Reach: The nearest railway station is about 10 kilometer from Kozhikode town. The nearest airport is Karipur International Airport which is 23 kilometer from Kozhikode town.


Cherai Beach

This beach is known as “The Princess of the Arabian sea”. Cherai Beach located near Vypeen Islands is a swimmers paradise. The sea on the western side and the backwaters on the east, gives the beach a very unusual touch. This place is also blessed with thick and dense coconut groves and some captivating Chinese fishing nets. This beach, however, stands exceptional for its cleanliness. You could also hire Water Scooters and Speed Boats and go for a spin in the sea. The far end of the beach is laced with Chinese fishing nets that are synonymous with Kerala.



Mararikulam Beach

The Mararikulam Beach is the beautiful beach of Kerala of south India. Its name puts from the name of a local fishing village Mararikulam. It is located at a distance of 40 kilometers from Cochin. It is the most visited beach where you can do the swimming, fishing, beach volleyball, hands at surfing, and parasailing. A trip to Mararikulam beach is incomplete without a visit to the famous coir producing sites. There are number of star and budget hotels are to be presented here.

How to Reach: The nearest airport is Cochin. There are several tourist attractions like Shiva Temple, Arror, Arthunkal, Panavally etc.


Kozhikode Beach

This beautiful and spic and span looking beach at Kozhikode is the much preferred haunt of sunset lovers. It is situated near town of Kozhikode. The natural beauty and old world charm of this beach attracts the visitors. The beach also houses a lighthouse, Marine Water Aquarium and Lions Park. The beach has an old lighthouse and two crumbling piers running into the sea, each more than a hundred years old.

How to Reach: The nearest railway station is Kozhikode which is about 1 kilometer from Kozhikode Beach. Karipur International Airport is the nearest airport which is 25 kilometers away from this beach.

Fort Kochi Beach

Fort Kochi is the most famous beach of the Kerala which is located about 12 kilometer from Cochin. Fort Kochi is a perfect specimen of Indo-European architecture. If you are on a romantic escapade, travel to Kochi Kerala. This charming town is dotted with many tourist attractions that behold the heart of every visitor. Bolghatty palace and historic fort are the main attractions of that beach. Fort Kochi Beach is also home to one of India's oldest churches - the St.Francis Church. Ezhimala Beach
