Best time to visit: April to June and September to October

How to Reach

By Air: Bagdogra airport is the nearest airport to Darjeeling. It is 95 km away from Darjeeling.

By Train: The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri which is about 88 km. from Darjeeling.

By Road: Darjeeling is connected to Sikkim, Nepal, and Bhutan etc. One can have access to Darjeeling from Siliguri which is connected to all the major cities of the country.

 

Itinerary

Duration: 6 Days/5 Nights

Places to visit: Delhi - Dibrugarah - Guwahati - Bagdogra - Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Delhi

Day 1: (Delhi Arrival)

On the arrival at the Delhi IGI airport you will reach Delhi and will be accompanied to the hotel that has been booked in advance. After reaching hotel you can go sightseeing tour in Delhi like go for historical places, shopping in Chandi Chowk etc. After enjoying the day you will return back the hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: (Delhi - Dibrugarah)

After having breakfast you will go to Dibrugarah by air from Delhi. You will check into the hotel Dibrugarah. You can see the tea factories. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: (Dibrugarah - Guwahati)

Early in the morning you will take a ride through a tea garden on horseback or by car. After a short ride you will return to your bungalow, and then transferred to the airport for your flight to Guwahati. When you arrive in Guwahati you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight is in Guwahati.

Day 4: (Guwahati - Bagdogra - Darjeeling)

Early you will visit to Kamakhya temple and tea Auction. Later this day you will be taken to the local airport for your flight to Bagdogra. When you arrive in Bagdogra you will be driven to Glenburn Tea Estate for a tour of their gardens.

Day 5: (Darjeeling)

Rise early to go to Tiger Hill to view the sunrise which is one of most exhilarating experiences one can witness. Later in the morning you will be driven to Darjeeling to visit The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Everest Museum, and Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park where you can see Snow Leopards, Red Pandas and Tibetan Wolves. You can visit Ghoom Monastery and then return to your bungalow. Overnight is in Darjeeling.

Day 6: (Darjeeling - Bagdogra - Delhi)

In the morning you will be driven to Bagdogra airport to board your flight for Delhi. Upon your arrival in Delhi you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight is in Delhi.
