General Information

Best time to visit: October to Mid-December.

Culture: Sikkim has a blend of cultures and traditions of Nepal, India, Bhutan and Tibet. Traditional music and dance forms an important of the local festival and celebration in Sikkim. A popular sport of the Sikkimese, archery is traditionally, played after the harvests. With a total of about 250 monasteries, the culture of Sikkim is closely linked to Tibetan Buddhism. How to Reach

By Air: The nearest airport is Bagdogra near Siliguri in West Bengal, is connected by air to New Delhi, Kolkata and Guawahati.

By Road: The state is connected by road to Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri and also to all the District Headquarters within Sikkim.

By Rail: Siliguri (114 kms) and New Jalpaiguri (125 kms) are the two closest railway stations connecting Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Guwahati and other important cities in India with Sikkim.

Itinerary

Duration: 9 Days/8 Nights

Places to visit: New Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling - Pelling - Gangtok - Sikkim - Kalimpong - Bagdogra - New Delhi

Day 1: (Delhi Arrival)

On the arrival at the Delhi IGI airport you will reach Delhi and will be accompanied to the hotel that has been booked in advance. After reaching hotel you can go sightseeing tour in Delhi like go for historical places, shopping in Chandi Chowk etc. After enjoying the day you will return back the hotel for the overnight stay and dinner.

Day 2: (Delhi - Bagdogra - Darjeeling)

After having breakfast you will go for Bagdogra from flight. Then you will go to Darjeeling. You will check into the hotel Guwahati. After refreshment you can see sightseeing of the Darjeeling. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 3: (Darjeeling)

Next day you will proceed for local sightseeing in the afternoon. Then you will see the Ghoom Gompa (10 kms), Museum, Zoological Park, Botanical Gardens. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel in Darjeeling.

Day 4: (Darjeeling - Pelling)

After breakfast you will visit Pemayangatse Monastery, Changay Waterfalls, Dentam Valley and Singshore Bridge in Pelling. After that you will see the Kecheoropalri Lake, Yuksom and Tashiding Monastery. Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 5: (Pelling - Gangtok)

After breakfast you proceed the tour of Gangtok. You will visit Tsangu Lake (full day Excursion), Rumtek Monastery, Nam Nang View Point, Botanical Garden, Local Craft Centre, Flower Show (Seasonal) and Tibetan Market. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 6: (Gangtok)


After breakfast in morning you will visit to Tashi View point, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and Pangthang. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 7: (Gangtok - Sikkim)

Today you will visit in Sikkim. The new destinations are coming up on a regular basis in Sikkim. There is Yuksom, Rinchingpong, Mangalbari and many other places in Sikkim which are off the beaten track and provides excellent sojourn for the tourists. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 8: (Sikkim - Kalimpong)

Today you will visit in Kalimpong attractions like Flower Nursuries, Durpin Daar,Jang-Dog-Palrifro-Brang-Gompa. You may also do river rafting in river Teesta. Overnight stay in Kalimpong.

Day 9: (Kalimpong - Bagdogra - New Delhi)

Return back to Bagdogra from Kalimpong for go to Delhi.
